On 2005, I wrote this when I began my life outside the four corners of my home in Surigao del Sur. I was 20 years old and completely out of reach from my parents. I am on my own.

Okay... I have been to Cebu a lot of times. But it was only when we have to cross on it to Negros Oriental. We never stayed here for more than a few weeks. It is just a stranger to me as it is to anybody, a typical probinsyana from the outskirts of Surigao del Sur, who went here for the very first time.
Yes, I am here in Cebu. And this time, its for real. Why you ask? Well, I have to find a job here. I just arrive when I wrote this entry. I am here in the internet cafe where my cousin, beautiful as she always is, is working. I instantly went out the city to find that job. Well, right across this internet cafe was the PDIC Building. I don't know what that meant but I know HIRING when I see one. Right on the back of the building was a Korean school called Cebu International Language Academy. I just got an interview on the same day! I was asked lots of things in pure English. I passed I guess...based on my gut feelings. The General Manager was going to call me next week. Yipeee! But then, I was not to get my hopes up for this particular job position. hehehehehehehe
